I think that the only way to improve skills language is by practicing. There is a difference between learning about English and learning English. If I want to improve my spoken English so I have to speak English as much as possible.

I like to be in the group, because i have oportunite to learn and improve my English. Thanks everyone
Hi Bruce, I really appreciate English Brazil! I know there’s a lot of things that I don’t know in English, so, I have the opportunity to practice, ask for everyone and increase my conversation. Thanks for everyone who dedicates time to help us!
Speak, speak, speak. Let’s start right off by saying that there isn’t a magic pill for better speaking, and EB helps me and others a lot by offering us the opportunity to communicate with a huge diversity of people. It definitely helps me to improve my English.
In order to get English sunk in your mind all you have to do is to learn like an alien ! An alien doesn’t have a human native language to translate so they need to get this information observing others stuffs, like the way people talking, the body movements, the facial expressions.
It’s the same way children learn how to speak in their native language: the observation, listening and repeating. It takes a while, but worth it !!!

Hey, Bruce! I would like to say that English Brazil is a great project and that it is allowing me to learn English in a very natural way. It’s really simple, but also dynamic and fun! I’m sure I’m learning a lot and I believe I soon will be able to speak fluently.
English Brazil has helped me a lot to develop conversion and expand my vocabulary, people are very nice and it is always very interesting and fun to meet them.
I absolutely agree with Bruce! The best way to learn is by listening and repeating! After all, that’s how children learn! Eventually, we have the thoughts already sunk inside our heads, ready to burst out when the moment arises! Of course 🙂
For me, EB is the best opportunity Brazilian students have for practicing their English. The meetings are not just about grammmar and vocabulary, but about speaking and sharing ideas in English, really using the language in real life. All levels are welcome, and our members will always try to help each other, that’s why it works!!! Give it a try!!
English Brazil is an awesome way to improve my english skills. Brazilian guys in general aren’t used to talking in different languages like happens in European countries. So, English Brazil is like finding water in the desert: a good place to share dreams, experiences and improve English. I wish the best for this project Bruce.👍
Maria Conceição Costa Lourenço
My name is Maria Conceição Costa Lourenço, I’m 63 years old and I live in Fortaleza -Ceará. I decided to learn some English about five years ago! Someone talked to me about Duolingo and I started to study ! Since then I’ve never stoped to do daily lessons! My biggest dificulty was speaking! I’m shy and I couldn’t think about speaking to someone in another language! However, four months ago I was invited by Duolingo to join to a conversation group! At first I hesitated but nowadays I can’t wait for our meetings! I’m more confident, my speaking is improving day a day and now I’m sure that I’m learning a new language! We talk about some things light, simple and even funny! Everyone in the group is friendly and it makes me feel really good!! I love beeing with them! I really recommend it!! Bye!!!!
